Four festivals set 2027 dates and Women Are Funny joins the site

Four festivals have announced 2027 dates, and several fall festivals have posted their programs. A new Amsterdam festival joined the site.

New festivals on the site

The Women Are Funny Festival runs March 3-7, 2027 in Amsterdam, produced by Amsterdam Comedy Studio. The first edition centers women, femmes, and non-binary performers, and accepts improv, stand-up, sketch, character, and alternative comedy acts. Submissions are open through October 15, 2026.

2027 dates announced

• The London Improv Festival runs May 27-30, 2027 at Blanche Improv HQ. Team applications open December 12, 2026 and close January 10, 2027.
• The Northwest Improv Fest returns to Spokane, Washington April 15-17, 2027. No call for submissions has been posted yet.
• The XL Festival holds its sixth edition May 20-23, 2027 in State College, Pennsylvania. The guidelines list a January 15, 2027 submission deadline.
• The Last Word Comedy Festival returns to Williamsburg, Virginia January 28-31, 2027. No lineup has been announced.

Fall 2026

The Tucson Comedy Arts Festival holds its 12th edition November 6-14, 2026, hosted by Tucson Improv Movement. Improv and sketch acts can apply through September 20.

ImproFest Kraków runs November 10-14, 2026, with Baby Wants Candy performing two improvised musicals and teaching English-language workshops.

Impulsez! holds its 13th edition November 20-28, 2026 in and around Toulouse, France, with a preview match against Québec's LNI on November 7.

The Bay Area Musical Improv Festival has posted its October 22-25 program in Oakland: nine shows with 29 acts and nine workshops, plus free opening and closing parties.

The Rivertowns Improv Fall Festival has posted the lineup for its first edition, October 16-17 in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. Headliners include The Josh and Tamra Show, and tickets are on sale.

The Bellingham Improv Festival runs November 5-8, and tickets are on sale for seven shows November 5-7. The lineup and workshops are still to come.

The Queer and Funny Improv Festival plans to announce its 2026 lineup at a free fundraiser event on September 19 in Minneapolis.

The first St. Pete Improv Festival ran September 10-13 at Spitfire Comedy House, with T.J. Mannix in LimboLand billed as headliner. The festival has mentioned plans for 2027 but has not set dates.
