St. Pete Improv Festival

Overview

The St. Pete Improv Festival is a four-day improv comedy festival presented by Spitfire Comedy House in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The festival pairs three nights of shows (Thursday through Saturday) with six weekend workshops, bringing 23 teams from around the country to the Spitfire stage.

Spitfire, which has anchored the St. Petersburg improv scene for about a decade, frames the festival as the local community "expanding outward" to host national performers, with workshops giving traveling artists and St. Pete locals a chance to learn from each other.

Workshops

Six workshops run across Saturday and Sunday in morning, afternoon, evening, and night blocks. Each is led by a festival performer and open to all experience levels.

Submissions

The festival is accepting applications from teams across the country for its 23 performance slots through the team application form. The submission deadline is July 31, 2026. Accepted teams are contacted directly by email, and festival performers are invited to teach workshops.
