Overview
Impulsez! is an improvisation festival run by La Bulle Carrée, a Toulouse improv company founded in 2007. The festival says it was created to bring companies from elsewhere in France and abroad to perform shows that Toulouse audiences would not otherwise see. According to the festival, the name reflects the audience's role in "impulsing" each show by suggesting, voting, and encouraging.
The 13th edition runs November 20-28, 2026, in venues in Toulouse, Muret, and Saint-Orens-de-Gameville. A preview match between Toulouse and Québec's LNI opens things on November 7. The artistic director's note describes a shorter format ("8 jours intenses au lieu de 11") with a program "plus riche que jamais," including solos, duos, and trios. The lineup also includes improv matches, among them a France-Québec match with Le Punch Club on November 25.
Workshops
More than a dozen workshops run alongside the shows, most taught by the festival's performers. A beginner improv course starts November 16.
