Camp Improv Utopia Yosemite is the third domestic retreat in the Improv Utopia series, launched in 2016 and held at Camp Calvin Crest in Oakhurst, California, near the southern gateway to Yosemite National Park. The 2026 edition runs Friday afternoon through Monday morning at the end of September.
Like the other Camp Improv Utopia retreats, the format combines 10+ hours of workshops from master improv teachers with shared cabin lodging, professionally prepared meals, evening performances and jams, and outdoor activities. The Sierra Nevada setting gives the Yosemite camp a distinct character among the Improv Utopia retreats.
Camp Improv Utopia runs multiple retreats each year: see also Camp Improv Utopia West 2026 (May 22-25 in Cambria, CA) and Camp Improv Utopia East 2026 (August 28-31 in Copake, NY).
