IF Cincy returns plus two new festivals on the site

Three festivals joined improvfestivals.org this week, the Ocean State Black & Funny Improv Festival page has been updated for its 2026 edition, and four submission deadlines fall on May 31 or June 1.

New festivals on the site

IF Cincy, the Improv Festival of Cincinnati, returns October 15-17, 2026 after a hiatus that began in 2020. The festival is produced by OTRimprov in partnership with Know Theatre of Cincinnati, and submissions are open through July 15.

Crème de la Femme ran May 29-30, 2026 at iO Theater's Kingsbury stage in Chicago. Producers Janelle Soulliere and Grace Goze billed the inaugural edition as the city's first all-femme improv festival, with more than 20 longform troupes of women and non-binary performers across two nights.

St. Pete Improv Festival, a four-day event at Spitfire Comedy House in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, runs September 10-13, 2026 with 23 teams, three nights of shows, and six weekend workshops. Team submissions are open through July 31.

Festival updates

The Ocean State Black & Funny Improv Festival page has been updated for its 6th annual edition, September 24-27, 2026 at The Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Submissions for troupes and ensembles are open; no deadline has been announced. A snapshot of the 2025 edition is preserved as an archive page.
