Overview
The Big Sing Musical Improv Festival is a four-day musical improv festival in Barcelona, Spain, organized by Barcelona Improv Group. The September 2026 edition is the third annual edition, following a first edition in June 2024 and a second in June 2025. The festival brings together amateur and professional improvisers and musicians to teach, share, learn, celebrate, and enjoy the art of musical improv.
The festival features three nights of improvised musical theatre and comedy by local and international groups at the Calabria 66 theatre, with additional late-night shows at nearby venues. Everything - laughs, licks, lyrics, songs, staging, and singalongs - is completely improvised. Four full days of workshops for beginners and professionals are taught by international instructors. All festival venues are located within a 600m radius in Barcelona's Eixample neighbourhood.
Submissions
Performer applications for the 2026 edition are due April 24, 2026. The festival features groups from Poland, Denmark, Argentina, Spain, Norway, the U.K., and Switzerland, along with featured solo artists.
