Overview

The Swear Jar Jamboree is an indie comedy festival in Philadelphia co-founded by Gabi Swain and Andy Miller with a purposeful community-building approach. Unlike many improv-only festivals, it features produced show blocks mixing improv, sketch, standup, clown, character, and more. The 2026 edition expands on its inaugural year with workshops, performances, and community celebration at The Proscenium Theatre at the Drake.

The festival grew out of Swear Jar Improv, a Philadelphia-based comedy group. Co-founder Gabi Swain discovered improv after attending a festival at Harrisburg Improv Theater and went on to build the Jamboree as a multi-format celebration of live comedy.
