IFO Impro Fest Bielefeld is a four-day international improvised theatre festival held each November at Tor6 Theaterhaus in Bielefeld, Germany. It began in March 2020 as "Impro Fest Online" (IFO), the first fully digital festival for improvised theatre, launched during the pandemic by a collective of actors from Germany and Austria. The festival moved in-person in October 2021 and has run annually in Bielefeld ever since.
The 2026 edition brings together more than 100 improvisers for shows and workshops led by artists from Brazil, the United States, England, the Netherlands, Austria, and across Germany, with programming in both English and German.
The festival offers roughly 19 workshops across the long weekend, plus intensive programs focused on improvisation fundamentals and improvised music. Teachers are drawn from the festival's international guest roster.
