Overview
The Best Russian Improv Festival (BRIF), known in Russian as the All-Russian Improv Fest, bills itself as the largest comedy improvisation festival in Russia. Held over a week in Saint Petersburg, it gathers dozens of teams, teachers, and genre veterans for a full immersion in improv across many formats, alongside master classes, themed meetings, and parties.
The 2026 edition runs August 17-23. The first stretch (August 17-20) features free shows in bars around the city, open to performers of any experience level, while the closing days (August 21-23) host paid, curated programs spotlighting some of Russia's strongest improvisers. Team battles run with support from the Improv Russia community.
Submissions
BRIF runs an open call for teams, master class teachers, and battle entrants. Applications for the 2026 edition closed June 7, 2026.
